NEDAC Executive Committee Meeting 2023

Another gathering of the vibrant organization, NEDAC organized its EXCOM Meeting on 5 April at the picturesque land of Kathmandu in Nepal, beside the Himalayas.

Kathmandu – NEDAC EXCOM meeting 2023 was held in Kathmandu, Nepal, from 4 to 6 April 2023. It was hosted by the NEDAC member, National Cooperative Bank Limited (NCBL), Nepal. It was successfully organized at the Hotel Royal Singi with twenty participants, including NEDAC members from India, Nepal, the Philippines, and Thailand.
The meeting was conducted in association with the 3rd National Cooperative Congress, organized between 6-8 April 2023 by the National Cooperative Federation (NCF), another NEDAC member and the apex cooperative organization in Nepal, jointly with the Ministry of Land Management, Cooperatives, and Poverty Alleviation of Nepal.
NEDAC activities since the last meeting in Bangkok in November 2022 and the planned activities for 2023 were presented during the EXCOM meeting. This year, NEDAC will conduct several in-person events at the NEDAC Training Centre, Bangkok (NTCB). The meeting also discussed several issues related to membership status and NEDAC secretarial matters.
The NEDAC/NCBL Workshop on Current trends, Prospects, and Challenges to Climate-resilient Cooperative Sector was organized as part of the meeting in the afternoon. More than 60 NEDAC members and local cooperative organizations from Nepal attended.
