NEDAC Study Visit “Understanding European Model of Banking & Agriculture Cooperatives”

NEDAC Bangkok is delighted to invite you to participate in the NEDAC Study Visit in the theme of Understanding European Model of Cooperative Banking and Agriculture Cooperatives System, which will be held from October 21 – 27, 2024 by NEDAC Training Centre Bangkok (NTCB).
The study visit aims to provide participants with in-depth insights into Europe’s agriculture cooperative system, facilitate knowledge exchange, and inspire strategies for enhancing cooperative development and sustainability in their respective countries.

Highlights:
- Understanding European Agri & Credit Cooperative Models: German and French Credit-Banking Cooperatives.
- Rabobank: Rabobank is a prominent Dutch cooperative bank in the Netherlands with a rich history of over 125 years. It operates globally, focusing on sustainable banking and addressing societal challenges.
- The International Raiffeisen Union: It is a worldwide association of national co-operative organizations founded in 1968, it has more than 900,000 co-operatives with approx. 800 million members in over 100 countries.
- BoerenNatuur: It is a key Dutch organization that implements agri-environmental schemes on a landscape scale. It represents farmer collectives and advocates for policies that support both agriculture and environmental sustainability.
- Euro Coop: It is Founded in 1957, is one of the first Non-Governmental Organisations (NGO). It has made its expertise available to all European Union Institutions for the promotion of the interests of consumer co-operatives and their consumer-members.
- ICA: It is one of the oldest non-governmental organizations and one of the largest, with approximately 3 million cooperatives worldwide and 1 billion cooperative members on the planet.
- Copa: It represents over 22 million European farmers & their family members in a combined effort with its members to promote the best interests of the agricultural sector.
- The European Association of Co-operative Banks: It advocates for co-operative banks in Europe, supporting their role in financial stability and economic growth.
- COGECA: The General Confederation of Agricultural Co-operatives, represents the interests of European agri-food, forestry, and fisheries cooperatives.
